CANADA DAY 150 ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

Canada was on fire with the 150 years Canada Day Celebrations, which the rain was unable to snuff out. I attended the Vaughan celebrations at Boyd Conservation Park. The rains did not stop the festivities, there was lot of food and entertainment and everyone had an enjoyable time.

There were many groups participating from the York Region. It was a celebration of diversity rich in multicultural talent.

African Drummers gave a memorable performance.

FAMILY MATTERS

Loving it with Mommy!

The special addition package which arrived in August is now seven months old and cute as cute can be.  Here he is posing for a picture with his two brothers and loving the camera.

Meet Jon-Jon the new bundle of mischief to the family

My Gorgeous Grandson, he just makes my day.  I can’t believe he is already three months.  He is a precious handful, he still keeps his mother up at nights, but he is beginning to wind down.  He sleeps more now and is a little less demanding … sometimes.   Love him to bits.

SPECIAL ADDITION

max1

The world stopped spinning, everything is on the back burner, my fashion blog is being neglected, all else is insignificant. The Prince made his arrival at 10:30 am this morning and everything pales in comparison to this bundle of joy. My grandson!

TACCA 11th.,  ANNIVERSARY GALA

TACCA Anniversary Gala

Thornhill African Caribbean Canadian Association (TACCA) held their 11th Anniversary Gala on Saturday. I am very happy to say I am now a member of this organization. They have implemented many programs for the youths including a Scholarship Awards Program as they believe educating our youths should be societies top priority. Five scholarships were awarded on Saturday night to students. TACCA work in partnership with the York Regional Police.

END OF SUMMER DINNER

I attended an end of summer dinner on Saturday. The food was excellent and was only matched by the the talented entertainment that followed. I attempted to video tape the gifted dancer’s rendition of the “butterfly” only to discover at the end of the dance that while my camera was turned on the video was not activated. I’m heart broken that I was unable to capture this magnificent dance.

A RAINY PICNIC

In spite of torrential rain we all had an enjoyable time at the picnic. It only goes to show attitude is everything and circumstances and situations have no power to dictate our lives.
