FROM THE RUNWAY TO YOUR CLOSET

With a little imagination you can translate your favourite designer runway looks into your personal style.

This segment will give you ideas on selecting styles that can be easily adapted to suit your unique personality.

Giorgio Armani

This design by Giorgio Armani can be easily adapted by using an outfit you already have in your wardrobe by adding a scarf and pairing it with a pants.  You can purchase fabric at any fabric store and if you are handy you can use the left over fabric for making a simple pouch.  If you have a pair of wide trousers you can insert elastic in the hem to give a harem effect.  You don’t have to stick to black and white.  You can use existing colours your already have.

Andrew Gn

This super chic outfit is so easy to convert to your personal style.  The fringe can be purchased in the notions section in the fabric store and add to a poncho and a skirt you already have.  If you don’t have a poncho you can purchase fabric and cut into a square, fold in half and cut a neckline.  Add any remaining fringe to your boots.  The skirt can also be worn with a matching jacket.

You can have fun recreating this outfit from Polyvore with a sundress you may already have by adding rick rack braid to bring it to life.  or purchase a plain dress and add contrasting trim.

Rochas

What is great about this elegant design is that it can be recreated at little costs by adding a lace or chiffon over skirt and finish with trim at the hemline.  This look can be adapted to most any outfit in your existing wardrobe.
