STYLE EQUATES CONFIDENCE

What’s in style?  –  Everything – it depends on how you wear it.

The confident woman is not afraid of expressing her unique personality with the clothes she wears.   On the other hand women who are fixated on fads and what’s wearing this season get fashion fads confused with style.

Women with a sense of style can take a vintage piece from another decade and mix it with something current and look fantastic when entering a room.

Current trends may not reflect your personal tastes but you can select the look that best translates into your personal style and mix and match them into your existing wardrobe.

The woman of the 21st., is forever young, she never let her clothes overshadow what she does.  It’s no longer “Dress your age”, or “Age appropriate” but “Create your own signature style “ –  A style that expresses your  unique personality that will transcend fashion fads and trends.

Getting to know your body type is important to wearing the right clothes that will enhance YOU!

SHORT WAIST:

Wear over blouse and short jackets that disguise the waist and give the illusion of a long waist – Vests and tops worn over the waist band to camouflage the real waist, drop waist dresses, avoid belted tops.

SKINNY ARMS:

Full puff sleeves – sleeves pulled up to the elbow – you can wear styles that emphasize the sleeves with bows or ruffles – kimono sleeves.

HEAVY ARMS:

Sleeves that are not tight fitting, cap sleeves, peasant blouses, blouses or dresses with elbow length puff sleeves, soft or sheer fabrics with full sleeves that camouflage the arms

Petit can wear most any style scaled down to proportion, collars sleeves. belts should be scaled down to size eg;  a 4″ wide belt can be scaled down to 2″.  A full circle flare can be scaled down to half circle, monochromatic neat styling is best for the petit girl – Choose smaller accessories, bags, scarves.  Keep it simple and neat.

BROAD SHOULDERS

Flattering styles are halter necklines, soft raglan sleeves, and drop shoulder cut.  Full  skirts and baggie or harem pants, this will balance the shoulders.

NARROW SHOULDERS
Narrow shoulders can be enhanced with off-the-shoulder styles, padded shoulders, puffed sleeves, horizontal necklines  and wide collars that will create a illusion of width.  Wearing fitted skirts and pants will be complimentary.
LARGE BUST
Invest in a well fitted bra.  Simple jackets/blazers and blouses.  Shirt necks, V-necks, cowls.  Loose fitted cardigans and Chanel jackets.

The small busted figure has several options, you can be as fancy or fussy as you want.  Frills, tucks, bows.  Soft fabrics with ruffles, puff sleeves,  belted blousy shirt waist dresses belted at the waist,  bulky sweaters, layered styles.
                                         PLUS SIZE
