Designer Trends Preview for Fall/Winter 2018/2019

The new Fashion Season opened with a bang! We have overlaps from last season as a matter of fact there are overlaps from the eighties, BUT they are soooo chic and smart that you can hardly tell.

Leather, Vinyl, latex, plastic and metallic still dominate the catwalk in skirts, trousers, dresses and on and on…enhanced with fringes, sequins and feathers.

Colours are the entire scope of the spectrum focusing on earthy and natural tones accented with black.  Hues of browns, yellows, oranges grading into bright colours…You get the idea.

The designers play with the silhouettes introducing multiple layers, different lengths, elongated shoulder.  In keeping with the influence of women of the 21st century on the world stage the designers have successfully merged delicate femininity with the strong tailored look.

A very interesting combination is the elegant evening gowns teamed up with ballerina/flats.  A dramatic change from the super high heels of the previous seasons –  comfort is the name of the game.

Pants suits? Yes! Animal Prints? Definitely!

Thrown into the mix are Fuchsia, neon colours, plaid, rich brocades, bold prints…
